Strategy, editorial, design and communications support for private clubs
Members should feel connected to the club, not just updated by it

We help clubs manage their member communications and make sure everything feels consistent with the club.
That can include emails, newsletters, content planning, creative support and the day-to-day communications that should reflect the quality and standards of the club.

Digital magazines, newsletters, annual reports, yearbooks and special publications.
Our team manages the process from editorial planning and interviews through to writing, design, proofing, publishing and reporting.

We also work with clubs on one-off projects where extra thinking or support is needed.
That might be a communications audit, strategy, brand project, launch, member initiative or another project that needs a clear plan and someone to drive it.
We know clubs

about club connections
Club Connections works with clubs across the globe, helping them communicate more clearly and consistently with their members and wider communities.
We bring together strategy, editorial, design and communications support, working alongside club teams on everything from publications and Annual Reports to broader communications planning and special projects.
We understand clubs, how they operate and the importance of getting the detail right.

Emily and the Club Connections team have played an important role in elevating the communications and digital presence of The Victoria Golf Club. She has a strong instinct for storytelling and understands how to capture the culture, traditions and daily life of the Club in a way that resonates with both Members and the broader golfing community.
Emily and her team combine creativity with professionalism, producing polished and engaging content across our communications and social media platforms while maintaining a tone that is authentic and aligned with the Club’s brand.

Because good communications take more time, thought and specialist input than most club teams have available internally.
We bring together strategy, writing, editorial, design and digital expertise in one team - helping clubs improve the quality of what they produce while taking much of the planning and day-to-day workload off management.
A lot.
We can take responsibility for the communications plan, editorial calendar, member emails, publications, content, design and major projects - including chasing information, interviewing people, writing copy, coordinating approvals and keeping everything moving.
The aim is that you don't need to manage us closely. We should be making your job easier.
We look beyond individual pieces of work and pay attention to how the club is presenting itself as a whole.
That means protecting the tone, quality, look and consistency of communications across everything members see - and speaking up when something doesn't feel right for the club.
For some clubs, yes.
For others, we sit alongside an existing marketing/communications/membership person and provide the extra capacity and specialist skills they don't have in-house.
Either way, we work closely enough with the club to understand its priorities, its people and how it operates - so we can think ahead rather than waiting for instructions.
Yes. It's our entire focus.
Private clubs aren't like ordinary businesses. There are members, boards, committees, traditions, history and expectations to consider, and communications often need a different approach.
That understanding is a big part of the value we bring.
Our work generally falls into three areas: ongoing communications and brand guardianship, publications and editorial, and strategy or special projects.
That can range from managing a club's member communications throughout the year to producing a major publication, conducting a full communications audit or supporting a significant club project.
No.
Some of our strongest relationships are ongoing, but we also work with clubs on one-off projects where they need specialist expertise or an outside perspective.
Yes, we absolutely can...where it makes sense as part of the wider communications plan.
But social media isn't the service we lead with. Our focus is the bigger picture - making sure the club's communications are clear, consistent and of a standard that reflects the club itself.
We're based in New Zealand and work with some of the top private clubs across Australasia, the UK and internationally.
Most of our work can be managed remotely, with travel built in where being at the club adds value.
If you need ongoing support, want to improve the way your club communicates or have a particular project in mind, we'd love to talk.
